Delhi School Introduces ‘Exam-Free Fridays’ to Promote Sanity and Snacks

Students celebrate the new holiday for mental health and fried food.

In a rare act of mercy, Delhi’s education department has declared every Friday “Exam-Free Day,” citing the need to preserve what’s left of student sanity. As per NDTV, the initiative encourages creativity, naps, and samosas as legitimate forms of learning.

“We found that over-testing was causing premature adulthood,” said Principal Meenakshi Verma. “Now, we’re focusing on emotional resilience and chutney pairing.”

Students have embraced the change enthusiastically. “I’ve never felt so intelligent while doing nothing,” said 15-year-old Aakash, currently majoring in Resting.

Teachers admit attendance has soared since Fridays became a festival of snacks and laughter. Cafeterias have been rebranded as “Wellness Lounges,” serving pani puri in mindfulness-friendly portions.

Parents are divided—half are thrilled their kids are happy; the other half worry they’ll forget how to suffer.

Experts say this might inspire a nationwide reform. “Education shouldn’t just prepare kids for exams,” said one psychologist. “It should prepare them for how many times they’ll fail them later.”
