Goa Opens ‘Hangover Recovery Clinics’ for Tourists in Emotional Pain

Healing body, mind, and liver through holistic regret management.

In a dazzling display of hospitality, Goa’s tourism board has introduced “Hangover Recovery Clinics” to help visitors transition from party mode to prayer mode. As reported by Deccan Herald, the centers offer IV drips of coconut water, guided forgiveness therapy, and personalized playlists of apologetic messages from your past self.

“We treat not just dehydration, but also humiliation,” said Dr. Anika Fernandes, head of Hangover Science. “Our staff are trained to say ‘it’s okay’ in three languages.”

Patients can choose from recovery packages like “Beach Shame Detox,” “Vodka Forgiveness,” and “Champagne Enlightenment.” Each includes a complimentary sunglasses fitting and hydration ceremony conducted by local monks.

Tourists love it. “I woke up in a clinic instead of a sand dune,” said one visitor. “That’s progress.”

Officials claim the clinics are boosting tourism by 30%. Bars are even offering combo deals: two shots and a future appointment.

Critics argue it normalizes excess, but defenders say it’s just “harm reduction through hydration.” The plan to franchise globally is already underway. As one clinic poster reads: “Your sins evaporate faster than your sweat.”
