Breakthrough sparks global envy and neighborhood chutney shortages.
In a revolutionary moment for green energy, Kerala’s Institute of Coastal Technology has unveiled the world’s first coconut-powered electric car. According to LiveMint, the vehicle runs on grated coconut and optimism. Engineers claim it can travel 100 kilometers per liter of coconut water, provided no one drinks the fuel mid-trip.
The project began when researchers noticed that every Kerala household already contains enough coconuts to power a small village. It’s simple, said lead scientist Ramesh Nair. We just had to stop making chutney long enough to innovate.
Environmentalists are ecstatic. The car emits only tropical fragrance and faint tabla music. Test drivers report improved skin glow and spiritual alignment. Elon Musk allegedly called to ask if they could power Teslas with mango pulp instead.
However, supply shortages are emerging. Housewives complain that chutney production has plummeted by 40%, and locals are forced to choose between breakfast and transportation. It’s progress, said one official, but the dosa is suffering.
Kerala now plans to export the cars to Dubai, where drivers can finally go coconuts legally.
