Tamil Nadu Students Protest Homework by Submitting AI-Created Essays About Oppression of Homework

Teachers shocked as essays gain literary awards.

Students in Tamil Nadu have launched a bold rebellion against homework, powered by artificial intelligence. According to NDTV, thousands of teenagers are now using chatbots to write emotional essays about the “oppressive nature of assignments.” The essays are so compelling that one was nominated for a national literature award.

“We just wanted to make a point,” said student leader Prakash Raj. “And that point was: AI does it better.” Teachers are furious but secretly impressed. “The grammar was flawless,” admitted one English professor, “and the essay made me question my entire career.”

Education officials call it a crisis, while tech companies call it “youth engagement.” Parents remain confused but proud that their kids are finally doing something academic—sort of.

The rebellion has now spread to neighboring states, with slogans like “Our brains deserve a break” trending online. Psychologists say this is the natural evolution of student protest: from hunger strikes to grammar strikes.

Experts warn of long-term consequences, but students insist AI is simply “the new tuition.” When asked if they worry about learning less, one replied, “Not really. The bots seem pretty smart.”
