by Children and adults read to elephants for educational fun.
Kerala has unveiled Elephant Storytime Evenings, guided reading sessions where families narrate stories to elephants in supervised environments. According to The Hindu, activities combine literacy development, wildlife observation, and immersive tourism experiences.
Participants report amusement, engagement, and educational benefit. Trainers ensure ethical interaction, animal welfare, and structured guidance. Critics question novelty versus conservation, but organizers highlight learning, wellness, and tourism attraction. Future expansions include multilingual storytelling, thematic sessions, and interactive workshops.
